You can still open chat only in your houses. They disabled it becuase people abused it with racis chat and sooo much more. Also you can chat 1 on 1 with any1 on your friendlist anywhere using your cell phone in home. Every1 has 1 it's part of your Nav control thing.
For $3 i bought 8ft USB extension cable so when my controller needs to be charge i plug it up while i play.
Trophies do not take up space on your HDD because they're all saved on Sony'PSN server. When you get a HDD like your 60 you never get the full HDD space because system ultilieis etc.
There are many game in which 360 play with Pc or PS3 play with PC but only 1 game ever where they all played together, Final Fantasy 11. Even when Phantasy Star Online came out, PS2 played with PC, but Xbox Live played alone.
They can connect to PC games, but Live can never connect to PSN or any PC game that's not using Live.
What they mean is yes Xbox Live is closed network, any game that's not using Xbox live can't connect. If you look at many games ANY game that connect PC and 360 MUST have Live. This is why FF14 is not on Xbox Live the reason FF11 was on Xbox Live is because Microsoft allowed Square to do this through a specail agreement. I used to play FFXIV so i'm used to a fee but when this game was annouced it was alwasy free to play. That was why i was gonna try it. Oh well i think i'll pass if i'm gonna pay i will pay for FFIV.
For a pay service it sure is limited, i mean the most Live can do is 8v8?? Most of PSN games are 16v16lag free and now even 128v128 with no lag. Live can't even run 5v5 Gears with no lag. Halo 3 is the same 8v8 and laggy as hell. I'm enjoying the free lag free service.

The PS3 already got exclusive stuff whet you get certain trophies you get up to 6 free themes for your PS3. Avatars lol they can keep em.
The reasons why is because Xbox 360 can't do it. So the PS3 has to be limited so that both version are the same. Even tho MAG is 256. Dice could never get away with 32 vs 32 on PS3 and only 12 vs 12 on Xbox 360. Yet again 360 holding multi-platform games back.
